| A Ruling
has been released by both the US and Canadian governments requiring the retrofitting
of any un-taped heavy vehicles involved in interstate commerce (USA wording)
with the red/white reflective tape in the same manner as OEM's have been
required to perform since December, 1993. The affected vehicles are those
which weigh in excess of 10,000 lbs. GVW and/or 80' in width or wider.
The timing involved in this Ruling are as follows: • Effective June
1, 1999 * Fleets
which chose to outfit their vehicles with different color schemes will be
allowed until June 1, 2009 to comply fully with the red/white color schemes.
